On Avenida del Libertador, you can come across the Ferrari driven by Juan Manuel Fangio, tour a classic car museum, and admire a building designated as a National Historic Monument. But this weekend, the iconic Automóvil Club Argentino building is hosting a completely different kind of event in its halls: a tribute concert to Juan Luis Guerra, featuring bachata and merengue classics arranged for string quartet and performed by candlelight. The concert will take place on Saturday , October 10, and tickets are already available starting at $27,500.

From Fangio’s Ferrari to Juan Luis Guerra: the fantastic candlelit event coming to the ACA building
This Saturday, October 10, at 7:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m., “Candlelight: Tribute to Juan Luis Guerra” comes to the Automóvil Club Argentino with a 60-minute candlelit concert. A unique opportunity to enjoy live music at an iconic Recoleta landmark that houses the club’s famous museum—with free admission—where you can come face-to-face with the historic Ferrari 166 driven by “Chueco” Fangio and an 1892 Daimler that is a true gem.

But the venue—designated a National Historic Monument—houses far more than just historic cars. Inside lies a tremendous artistic heritage: a bronze bust of San Martín by José Fioravanti, bas-reliefs by Alberto Lagos, and murals by great masters such as Alfredo Guido, Emilio Centurión, and Dante Ortolani. A historic building that recently made headlines again when the club announced it would restore the classic “muñeco” statue at the entrance.
The event will take place at the Dr. César C. Carman Auditorium, where the Cuarteto Ámbar will bring Juan Luis Guerra’s greatest hits to life in an intimate string arrangement:
- La Bilirrubina
- Let It Rain Coffee
- Bubbles of Love
- Bachata Rosa
- Niagara by Bicycle
- Mi Bendición
- A Pedir Su Mano
- A Visa for a Dream
- Frío Frío
- La Llave de Mi Corazón
- Bachata in Fukuoka
- Rosalía
