The Raggio Museum is a French style building with neoclassical architecture built at the beginning of the 20th century by the architect Gregorio Esperón and later remodeled by Rómulo Raggio for his family. This family palace is now a museum that preserves halls ornamented with works of art, historical pieces and murals that transport you to the Belle Époque.
One of the most impressive spaces is the old music room. If you look at the ceiling, you will find a huge canvas by the French painter Marcel Jambon, who is known for his work at the Paris Opera and the Colon Theater. You can also visit the family dining room, which is decorated with sculptures signed by Italian and Argentine artists.
This almost hidden palace-museum exhibits works from the 20th and 21st centuries and a park full of contemporary sculptures. In addition, workshops, seminars and classes in dance, theater and visual arts are held throughout the year .
This beautiful palace-turned-museum can be visited freely from Monday to Friday from 1 pm to 5 pm. The museum also organizes concerts, special exhibitions and guided tours for a fee.
