The Guerrero Castle was built between 1872 and 1880 by the family of Carlos José Guerrero, as part of the San Carlos ranch. The castle was born in the midst of the mourning for the death of Felicitas Guerrero, the daughter of the couple and one of the most famous women of Buenos Aires at that time, in fact, known as the most beautiful woman of the Republic.

Felicitas’ story is special: she was the victim of a crime of passion that shocked the country because she was murdered by a scorned suitor in 1872. After the tragedy, her family decided to move away from the center of Buenos Aires and build this residence in the countryside, in the town of Domselaar.
