The Publishers’ Fair (FED) is celebrating its 15th anniversary this weekend in Buenos Aires with a must-see new edition where you can discover new publishers and authors and take home a free book. Did we mention that admission is free? From Thursday, August 6 , to Sunday, August 9 , the C Art Media complex in Chacarita brings together the world of independent publishing from Argentina, Spain, and Latin America: more than 330 publishers for you to immerse yourself in books and discover a world that awaits you on the page.
Since its inception in 2013, the FED has established itself as the ideal space to break down the barrier between readers and those who create books. Admission to the Publishers’ Fair is free ( with prior registration), and as is now tradition, you’ll receive an exclusive book as a gift upon entry.
A free book and more than 330 publishers to explore over 4 days
The FED’s hallmark remains unchanged: with your ticket, you’ll receive a special, exclusively published book as a gift. For this 15th edition, the central theme is work, featuring a selection of ten texts chosen from over 500 submissions and curated by author and editor Ricardo Romero.
Over the course of the four days, you’ll be able to browse booths featuring catalogs from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay, and Spain. The selection ranges from fiction, poetry, and essays to graphic novels, illustrated books, social sciences, and journalism.
Key fact: On Thursday and Friday, there are exclusive hours for libraries and bookstores, which receive a 50% discount on book purchases. If you’re a bookseller, those days are very important.
Talks, awards, and international guests
The 2025 program for the Buenos Aires Publishers’ Fair isn’t limited to book tables—it’s packed with activities: publishers from Spain, France, Italy, Russia, and Sweden will be there to exchange catalogs and share experiences. You’ll also findworkshops for translators and meetings with audiovisual production companies to adapt books for the screen, as well as the competition for the Bookstore Achievement Award, featuring the bookstores Fervor, La Sede, Volcán Azul, Atlántica, and Medio pan y un libro.
Charity Post and the Finale of the Anniversary Party at Vorterix
In 2026, the Fair goes beyond print and adds two distinct but very important initiatives:
A Blood Donation Station (Friday, August 7): In partnership with the Buenos Aires Blood Center, you’ll find a blood donation station at the Publishers’ Fair. Tickets to the closing party will be raffled off among all donors.
The FED 15th Anniversary Party (Saturday, August 8): Starting at 11:50 p.m., the Fair ends but the party doesn’t—because the celebration moves to the Vorterix Theater. Villa Diamante will take the stage with their mix of cumbia, hip hop, and Argentine rock, alongside a live show by Sandwich Piano Bar (rock, pop, and tango).
