Imagine toasting amid European marble, strolling through neoclassical halls with high ceilings, and dancing where ancient underground vaults —once designed to safeguard gold bars—once stood. This Saturday, August 8, you can enjoy a unique party featuring music and wine cellars at one of the most imposing and least-known palaces in Microcentro. Here’s how to join the celebration of a special edition of CONVINART at the legendary Palacio de la Reconquista.
A journey through time between glasses: from architectural gem to temple of celebration
At 46 Reconquista Street stands the Palacio de la Reconquista, a Buenos Aires palace dating back to 1912 that holds fascinating stories within its halls and façade. Like many Buenos Aires mansions of that era, the materials used to build it were brought from Europe (mainly marble and wood), and there was a risk they might never arrive: Europe was in the midst of World War I, and the ships crossing the Atlantic faced the danger of being attacked by submarines before they could reach Argentina.
But this palace has a unique feature: it was built to serve as the headquarters of a bank—the Anglo Sud Americano Bank. A hundred years ago, the cellars and lower halls served as the bank’s vaults , designed to store jewels and gold bars.

Today, those halls, steeped in mystique and sophistication, come alive to host one of the most anticipated gastronomic experiences of 2026. A celebration where art and music invite you to explore every hall and even the farthest corner, guided by the finest wineries and the best Argentine wines. This August 8, when the streets are empty, you can be part of the most exclusive edition of Convinart—the events that bring the best of gastronomy and wine to Buenos Aires’ most exclusive palaces. Buy your ticket and don’t miss out.
What to Expect on the Night of CONVINART’s 3rd Anniversary
For six hours, every corner of the Palacio de la Reconquista offers a distinct sensory experience, combining the best of Argentine wine with contemporary art, all accompanied by live music. Every corner comes to life, inviting you on a unique journey.
Get ready for a journey that begins with a guided tour and free tasting through the building’s majestic halls, along with access to more than 15 wines from selected wineries. From 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., you’ll discover new pairings and styles with a glass in hand, while immersing yourself in live art installations, performances, and a projection mapping show that will illuminate the palace’s century-old architecture.
The party takes over the Palace before midnight
At 10 p.m., the Palacio undergoes a complete transformation as the real party begins. The music ramps up, filling the main halls, while the signature cocktail bar and curated dining offerings come to life. This century-old palace comes alive, and the place where so many people and stories have passed through transforms into a dance floor where you can toast and celebrate until dawn with the anniversary edition of Convinart.
