The air traffic controllers’ strike begins on July 11 and continues on alternate days throughout the month. The air traffic controllers’ strike days are July 11, 12, 13, 15, 15, 18, 20, 20, 24, 25, 27 and 30. During these dates, flights will not be able to take off during certain time slots, as no air operations or runway movements will be authorized. In addition, flight plans will not be processed.
According to the union, the measure is in response to a demand for better salaries and working conditions, and will affect both domestic and international flights during the winter vacations in several provinces.
