We see them in every movie and series we stream, and in some parts of the country (such as the provinces of Buenos Aires, Córdoba, or Neuquén), they’ve long been a reality. Jury trials and the responsibility of administering justice continue to fascinate us and will continue to do so… whether in fiction or in real life.
With this idea at the center of the stage, the iconic Margarita Xirgu Theater presents *The Jury Experience*, a production that breaks the fourth wall to turn audience members into protagonists of a courtroom drama. And don’t think that simply watching is enough: here, you have to listen to every statement, analyze the evidence, and make a decision that could change the defendant’s fate.
A necklace, a death, and many unanswered questions
The story revolves around the mysterious theft of a $20 million necklace belonging to superstar Lana Tonneti. Following the jewel’s disappearance, her former driver finds himself in the defendant’s seat as the prime suspect.
But, as in any good courtroom thriller, nothing is as simple as it seems. Testimonies contain contradictions, evidence opens up new possibilities, and the protagonists’ accounts don’t quite add up . Even Lana herself might be hiding key information.
Throughout the trial, the audience must listen to the witnesses, evaluate the arguments from both sides, and decide whether the defendant is guilty or innocent. The final verdict isn’t predetermined: everything will depend on the jury’s votes.

For approximately 60 minutes, audience members become lay jurors, and since each performance will depend on the audience’s decisions, no two trials (or rather, no two plays) are exactly alike.
The show is recommended for ages 12 and up , while those under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Doors open 30 minutes before the show starts, and once the performance has begun, no one will be admitted.
