What better place to blend science, art, and nature in Buenos Aires than the Planetarium? On May 2, the Planetarium is hosting the A Cielo Abierto festival, where you can enjoy a live show and attend a science talk led by an expert . Everything takes place outdoors and admission is free. Come experience science in a whole new way this weekend!
Kick off your Saturday afternoon with a swing show and an outdoor science talk in Buenos Aires
The outdoor festival at the Planetarium begins at 4 p.m. with a live show by Jivers, a group that recreates the swing music of the 1930s and 1940s with a modern twist, where you’ll hear the best swing music featuring instruments like the banjo, vocals, guitar, tuba, and washboard.
At 5 p.m., it’s time for science with the talk “Astronomical Numbers and the Human Brain,” led by physicist and science communicator Andrés Rieznik. Rieznik holds a Ph.D. in Physics, is a science communicator, and serves as a professor and researcher at the Torcuato Di Tella University Business School. This talk will help you understand how our brains process the dimensions and scales of the universe—but in a way that everyone can grasp.
