The Gran Milaneseada Patria arrives in Buenos Aires on May 3. Don’t miss this community celebration featuring an unexpected and very Buenos Aires-style star: a 20-meter-long giant milanesa sandwich that will be cooked live and distributed to the public for free.
A giant milanesa is being cooked on Avenida de Mayo
The event to join in the preparation of Argentina’s largest milanesa is this Sunday, May 3, at Avenida de Mayo and Piedras, where a large communal table will be set up to celebrate the milanesa.
The highlight is the preparation of this 20-meter XXL sandwich, which will be cooked live using the “fritura al disco” technique alongside Salva Cocina. Once ready, this giant milanesa— the largest in Argentina —will be distributed for free to everyone in attendance.
Much more than just food: live music, culture, and tradition
Throughout the afternoon, at the Gran Milaneseada Patria, you’ll enjoy eight themed tents combining gastronomy, culture, and entertainment with live music, Tucuman folklore, live Buenos Aires-style fileteado performances, the presence of Cucuza Castiñeira, and quintessentially Argentine experiences such as the Mate Museum or a T-shirt fair.
And if that’s not enough, join a bingo game with a trip to Tucumán as the prize, a motorcycle giveaway, and a soccer-themed area inspired by Diego Maradona.
