Get ready for June 21 and 22 because a unique gastronomic fair dedicated exclusively to celebrate the king of street food is coming to the Palermo Hippodrome. Admission is free.
The First Sandwich Festival arrives in Buenos Aires: more than 300 varieties to try for free in Palermo
For two days, the Sandwich Festival brings together more than 30 stands and food trucks that will offer more than 300 versions of sandwiches from around the world: from viral classics of the networks to gourmet versions of author, through international flavors and options for all tastes, including vegan and TACC-free versions.
The Sandwich Festival is your culinary journey through different regions of the world, without leaving Palermo. Among the gastronomic proposals of this festival at the Palermo Hippodrome you will find Vietnamese cuisine and its traditional banh mi, specialists in Uruguayan chivitos, pulled pork and ribs sandwiches, the very French with croque madame and croque monsieur, arepas and pepitos, fluffy baos, the chicharrón sandwich, foccaccinos, Korean hot dogs or corn dogs and the inevitable shawarma and falafel pita.
There will also be local proposals such as Sanguchero (milanesa sandwich), 24th Street Burger (smash burgers), No es Soberbia (pastrami) and Uría, which melts hearts with its raclette cheese melted on bread. Add to that vegan options and gluten-free alternatives.
Each food truck will be staffed by chefs and restaurants specializing in sandwiches, many with signature proposals that combine modern techniques with high quality ingredients. If you are a fan of sandwiches in any of its forms (bagels, baos, sandwiches, burgers, shawarmas, arepas, pancho or milanesa) this festival is an ideal plan to enjoy with friends or family, outdoors and without spending on tickets. Add this new gastronomic fair to your list!
