April 17 is International Malbec Day, but when it comes to celebrating, one day isn’t enough. That’s why, from April 17 to 19, Malbec Week is being celebrated at the Palacio Libertad in Puerto Madero. It’s three days to enjoy wine, regional cuisine, and live music— all outdoors with free admission.
Malbec Week: free tastings, wineries, and food in Puerto Madero
To mark World Malbec Day, the first edition of Cocina Abierta is coming to the Palacio Libertad, a series celebrating the flavors of Argentina and each of its regions with free admission. During Malbec Week, you’ll be able to taste wines from different provinces, participate in talks with experts, and discover a wide variety of products from each region.

For this special edition dedicated to Malbec, wineries from Mendoza, San Juan, Salta, Catamarca, Santiago del Estero, La Rioja, Tucumán, and Río Negro will be present at the Palacio Libertad. In addition, you’ll be able to sample and purchase artisanal cheeses, cured meats, preserves, nuts, chocolates, and alfajores.
This Malbec Week in Puerto Madero, with its tastings, talks, and regional products market, is part of Cocina Abierta, a culinary series where Argentina’s regions showcase the best they have to offer in terms of food and, in this case, beverages.
Cocina Abierta is the perfect event to enjoy Puerto Madero outdoors and discover new flavors for free every month.
