Winter vacations 2025 start in Buenos Aires from July 21 to August 3 and the museums of the city of Buenos Aires are getting ready to welcome families with a wide variety of activities and plans specially designed for children.
1. Winter vacations at the Malba

If you are looking for museums during winter vacations where you can have an incredible time, take note. The Museum of Latin American Art is an ideal destination for families looking for a cultural and entertaining alternative for these vacations.
The museum’s Education area offers workshops, tours and special activities designed to discover the unique universes of artists such as Liliana Porter and Sandra Vásquez de la Horra, based on the works that make up its collection. An ideal proposal to enjoy with the family, awaken curiosity and approach contemporary art from a creative point of view.
The activities for children during these vacations include tours to discover new works and workshops where they can put into practice this new look with new materials. Children will use cameras to create their own images, recreate their own worlds with paper, colors and lights, and best of all, at the end of each experience at Malba, they will take their creations home .
We leave the details of the activities for you to write to us. Malba

4. Visit these museums on water

Buenos Aires has two museum ships that can be visited and if they conquer adults, much more children. To go up and explore the objects, compartments and corridors of the Sarmiento Frigate Museum Ship or the Uruguay Corvette Museum Ship is to feel like a sailor and a captain for a while.
Going up, down, touching and feeling transported to another era sailing the sea is a great experience that any child would like to have. If you are looking for different plans and activities for winter vacations with children, add these museum ships to your agenda. They are moored together, so you can visit both ships on the same day.
