2. Museum of Latin American Art
The Museo de Arte Latinoamericano de Buenos Aires (MALBA) is one of the most important museums in Buenos Aires because it is synonymous with Latin American art. The permanent collection is a legacy of MALBA’s owner and collector Eduardo Costantini: it is made up of paintings and sculptures by the most important Latin American artists (Xul Solar, Frida Kahlo or Diego de Rivera), as well as photographs and installations.

4. Enrique Larreta Museum of Spanish Art

6. Proa Foundation
The Proa Foundation is, along with Caminito, one of the most important meeting points in the neighborhood of La Boca. This recycled Italian mansion from the 19th century is today one of the most important art museums in Buenos Aires in contemporary art. Fundación Proa is an artistic institution always looking for avant-garde proposals, where you will find an eclectic selection of exhibitions and events ranging from visual art and performance to interactive installations and avant-garde film cycles.

7. Benito Quinquela Martin Museum
The Benito Quinquela Martin Museum is the result of a donation from the artist himself and pays homage to him in its permanent exhibition with stunning paintings that capture the essence of the port and the life of the neighborhood of La Boca. From port landscapes to his portraits of the characters, each of his works of art immerses you in the atmosphere of the port and its workers. 8. Museum of Hispano-American Art Fernández Blanco
The Fernández Blanco Museum is a colonial palace in the Retiro neighborhood that houses a very impressive collection of colonial and pre-Columbian works of art from all over the Spanish-American region: paintings, sculptures, textiles and decorative objects represent the fusion of indigenous and European influences throughout the centuries. Each piece on display tells a story about the cultural and aesthetic diversity of Latin America.
The 19th and 20th century part of the collection is located in the Casa Fernández Blanco in the Congreso neighborhood. There you will be able to see toys, clothing, silverware, furniture, paintings and photography of the period. Ideal for the curious. Tip: both venues of the Museum of Latin American Art have free admission on Wednesdays.

9. Museum of Popular Art José Hernández
The Museum of Popular Art of Buenos Aires celebrates the artistic expressions of the different regions of Argentina. In this Buenos Aires art museum you will be able to see textiles and ceramics to sculptures and objects that reflect the diversity and creativity of popular art. 10. Xul Solar Museum
The Xul Solar Museum is dedicated to the art of Xul Solar, pseudonym of Oscar Agustín Alejandro Schulz Solari. Xul Solar was a reference of surrealism and you can see and immerse yourself in his work in his museum. You will see an extensive collection of paintings, drawings, sculptures and personal objects that reveal his genius and the overflowing imagination of this multifaceted Argentine artist.
In addition to the permanent collection, the museum hosts temporary exhibitions that explore different aspects of Xul Solar’s life and work, as well as his influence on Argentine and Latin American art.

12. Fortabat Foundation
The Fortabat Foundation is located in a building that in itself is a work of modern art. Work of the Uruguayan architect Rafael Viñoly, being in the neighborhood of Puerto Madero, its glass structure offers a very special panoramic view of the river and Buenos Aires. This Buenos Aires museum brings together the collection belonging to Amalita Lacroze de Fortabat and includes works by established Argentine artists, as well as pieces by renowned international artists.
