If you’re looking for free concerts in Buenos Aires, there’s an event that combines music, history, and an iconic building: the concert series at the UBA Law School. Since 1949, this imposing building on Figueroa Alcorta Avenue has opened its doors to bring symphonic and chamber music to the general public, featuring high-quality performances with free admission.
What the concerts at the Law School are like
Every Saturday there are two performances to choose from, in venues as impressive as they are little-known:
- 4:00 p.m.: chamber music in the Auditorium Hall
- 6:00 p.m.: symphonic music or symphonic-choral music in the Assembly Hall
No need to reserve a ticket: admission is free and on a first-come, first-served basis. Additionally, you can contribute non-perishable food items, which are then donated to the M.A.M.A. shelter.
A historic series featuring more than 90 concerts a year
With over 70 years of history, this concert series brings together national orchestras, youth ensembles, and musicians from across the country. In total, nearly 90 free concerts are held each year, making it one of the city’s most accessible and consistent cultural offerings.
