“Viví Korea” is three days to stroll around surrounded by everything that defines Korea—its food, its sports, and—why not?—its products as well. The Abasto, in partnership with KOTRA, is organizing this festival so you can enjoy a weekend in Buenos Aires just as you would in Seoul. At “Viví Korea,” you’ll find:

El Abasto: A place steeped in history
Your date with Korea in Buenos Aires is the perfect excuse to rediscover one of the city’s most photogenic buildings. In case you didn’t know, the Abasto Shopping Center is an Art Deco building with concrete vaults and an unmistakable facade that served for much of the 20th century as the Mercado de Abasto, Buenos Aires’ central fruit and vegetable market. This shopping center is closely tied to the history of Buenos Aires and tango because Carlos Gardel was known as “el Morocho del Abasto” or “el Zorzal Criollo”—which is why the plaza where you’ll enjoy this event in Buenos Aires this weekend bears that name.
