Buenos Aires is once again filled with hot air balloons in an incredible festival with the second edition of BA Flota, the largest hot air balloon festival in South America and one of the perfect outdoor shows to start your year.
Hot Air Balloon Festival in the City Park: BA Flota returns with a nighttime balloon show and a special closing concert
On March 28, from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m., Parque de la Ciudad is the venue chosen for the Hot Air Balloon Festival in Buenos Aires, which was a success last year and returns in 2026. It is an experience that combines balloons, live music, technology, and gastronomy for an incredible weekend. And a very special concert to close the day!
What is BA Flota and what is the hot air balloon experience like?
BA Flota is a festival designed to give you a close-up view of the world of hot air balloons. During the afternoon, you will see how these enormous colorful structures are unfolded and inflated until they rise into the air, so that at sunset, the sky is tinged with warm tones and the burners are lit.
You will also find an area dedicated to classic cars with exhibitions and parades, a technology section with interactive activities, drones, and simulators, and activities designed especially for children with an inflatable park, games, and shows.
The most important balloon festival closes with Night Glow, a visual spectacle in which the balloons light up to the rhythm of the music and a grand closing show by Los Totora.

Where is BA Flota 2026 and how to attend
The event will take place at Parque de la Ciudad, one of the largest green spaces in southern Buenos Aires, which will be transformed into a large outdoor theme park for an afternoon of fun on March 28. Pedestrian access is through Gate 7, and it is recommended to arrive early to enjoy all the activities and the balloon inflation. Tickets, starting at 25,300 pesos, are on sale on the Ticketek website.
Please note that you cannot climb into or ascend in the balloons. In case of rain or bad weather, the event will be postponed to March 29 or, if that day is also not feasible, to the following weekend.
If you are looking for things to do in Buenos Aires in March and want to experience something different, this festival is one of your most important events.
