We’ve been hearing the rumor for a while, but it’s finally been confirmed. H&M is officially launching in Argentina with a store in one of Buenos Aires’s most important shopping malls: Alto Palermo. We’ll tell you when you’ll be able to check out the new H&M store in Argentina and buy everything you’ve always wanted from the Swedish brand—right here.
Where and when will H&M’s first store in Argentina open?
The Swedish clothing chain H&M (Hennes & Mauritz) is all set to open the doors of its first official store in Argentina. And to do so, the international brand has chosen Palermo as its gateway.
The location chosen for the inaugural store is the Alto Palermo Mall, on Santa Fe Avenue, and the deal is being handled by IRSA, the group that owns the country’s major shopping malls.

The official timeline initially called for H&M’s opening in Buenos Aires to take place in the first half of 2027, but industry sources say that operational and commercial preparations are being accelerated to bring the opening forward to late 2026. Could you be doing your 2026 Christmas shopping at H&M?
Shopping in Buenos Aires: The Arrival of International Giants
The announcement of the opening of H&M’s first store in Buenos Aires is long-awaited news, though perhaps not entirely surprising, considering that in recent months, other international companies have also opened stores in the city.
In case you haven’t visited these international brand stores yet, we’d like to remind you that Buenos Aires is also home to Argentina’s first Miniso store (the Asian chain with over 5,000 products and exclusive licenses such as Disney and Star Wars), as well as Victoria’s Secret and Intimissimi, in addition to Nike and Adidas, which are expanding their stores within the mall.
