1. Canning Square

Plaza Canning is a few hours away from the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires and its streets recreate a small corner of Europe. Its balconies with flowers, small bridges and cobblestone streets will make you feel as if you were in Italy but less than an hour away from Buenos Aires. Besides getting lost in its architecture, in Plaza Canning you will also find shopping, an interesting gastronomic center and outdoor events such as art exhibitions and fairs. An option for your day trips.

2. Campanópolis

Did you know that just a few minutes away from the Capital, you can take a day trip to the Middle Ages? Campanópolis is a medieval style village 30 minutes away from Buenos Aires. It has castles, houses in the surrounding forest, taverns, bridges, secret places and even a pier. All connected by cobblestone streets. Private and group tours are available.

3. Children’s Republic

The Children’s Republic is a classic for children and adults alike. It is a theme park immersed in a natural forest that is designed for family fun and for both adults and children to enjoy their day trips to a place near Buenos Aires. Playground, boat ride, artisan’s ride, fanfare and many more activities are offered by this park only one hour away from Buenos Aires.

4. A walk to the past without leaving the capital

Change the air without leaving the city with this streetcar that, if you did not know it existed, it is time to get to know it, get on it, and let yourself be transported back in time through its tracks and streets. It departs from the stop located on Emilio Mitre and Bonifacio Street, in the neighborhood of Caballito. These streetcar rides are free and do not require prior reservation. They are short rides through the neighborhood of about 20 minutes but to complement them and turn any of your day trips into a perfect experience, add a good ice cream or better yet a succulent snack.

The Puerto de Frutos in Tigre is so close that sometimes we forget that it is the ideal destination for day trips to go for a walk, look at handicrafts and crafts, get on a catamaran, have lunch or dinner by the river and simply enjoy being out of the city and, at the same time, so close to it. If you are up for it and so much relaxation is not for you, from there you can also take the train to the Parque de la Costa.

6. Lobos Lagoon
