This weekend, November 1st and 2nd, the Recoleta Cultural Center will be transformed into a space full of tradition, color and aromas, thanks to the collaboration of the Embassy of Mexico in Argentina and the province of Tlaxcala to embody all the elements and traditions of the Day of the Dead in Buenos Aires as if you were in Mexico.
Come to the Recoleta Cultural Center to discover typical Day of the Dead attractions as you would celebrate it if you were in Mexico: you will find a Huamantla carpet made by artisans, a large altar and various interventions that evoke this ancestral celebration.
For the kids, there will be a Calaveras Catrinas make-up station, while everyone will be able to enjoy live music and a food truck with Mexican cuisine.

The program for the Day of the Dead includes on Saturday, November 1 at 7 pm the presentation of the Orchestra of Native Instruments and New Technologies of the UNTREF. On Sunday, November 2, at 5 pm, the Argenmex trio Las Adelas will play, and the closing will be with the Mariachi “Gigante” from La Plata at 7 pm.
The Day of the Dead will be celebrated at the Recoleta Cultural Center. Admission is free for Argentines and residents, and admission is on a first-come, first-served basis until capacity is reached.
The activity is suspended due to rain, so it is advisable to arrive early and enjoy this unique experience that brings Mexican tradition to Buenos Aires.
