In Buenos Aires there are halls that look like time capsules, but few are as surprising as the one at the Centro Asturiano. This December, this centenary space will once again light thousands of candles to bid farewell to the year with a luminous concert of Vivaldi’s Four Seasons performed by a string quartet. A plan that combines historic architecture, classical music and a setting that completely transforms the place.
The main hall, built at the beginning of the 20th century in a very marked European style, is illuminated only with candles for these special performances. The warm light blends with the glow of the large chandelier and every detail of the hall, in an immersive atmosphere.
The performances on Thursday, December 11 and Friday, December 12 will be the last of the year. Both start at 7:00 pm, but it is advisable to arrive early to get a good seat, as seating is on a first-come, first-served basis within each area.
How much do tickets for Vivaldi’s light concert in Buenos Aires cost?
The tickets for this Vivaldi concert start at $35,500, with variations depending on the zone and day chosen. For the December dates, zone D is already sold out. The seats are divided by proximity to the stage and zone A is accessible for people in wheelchairs or with reduced mobility.
If you do not make it to these last performances of the year, the series will continue in 2026 with new dates in the same space. And if you are interested in other classical music concerts in historical buildings in Buenos Aires, you can find more information about the proposals in the Capilla Mayor del Colegio La Salle.
