Buenos Aires is increasingly connected to the Río de la Plata with parks and huge green spaces along the riverbank. From Avenida General Paz to the Riachuelo, these are the four riverside parks you can visit to spend the weekend, go for a run, ride a bike, or enjoy a family outing.
1. Parque del Vega
This park is located on Costanera Norte and covers five hectares with pedestrian paths, bike lanes, a hill with panoramic views of the river and the city, and plenty of space for picnics, running, or biking. On weekends, it is usually filled with families and skaters. It is one of the most active and popular parks.

With 350 hectares, the Ecological Reserve is the largest green space in the city of Buenos Aires. It is located in Puerto Madero and offers direct access to the river, trails for walking, biking, or running, and is one of the best places in Buenos Aires for bird watching . Admission is free.
📍Av. Tristán Achával Rodríguez 1550, Puerto Madero.
3. Coastal Park
The Coastal Park is located in Ciudad Universitaria and features a sandy coastline, playgrounds for children, and outdoor recreation areas. It is ideal for spending an afternoon by the river without leaving the city because there is plenty of space to relax, with an unobstructed view of the horizon, which is worth its weight in gold in Buenos Aires.

4. Ciudad Universitaria Ecological Reserve

It is located a few meters from the Coastal Park and is a protected area of 23 hectares that offers nature trails designed for bird watching and ecosystem conservation. Of all the parks in Buenos Aires that overlook the river, this is perhaps the quietest, perfect for disconnecting from the noise.
