Everyone knows The Squid Games and knows every one of their games from both seasons. If you are fascinated by the world of the Netflix series, you should know that Buenos Aires has a bar inspired by The Squid Games, it is in Chinatown and in addition to beers created for the occasion, you can play many of the games of the series.
This is the first Squid Games bar in Buenos Aires
This thematic bar is in Chinatown, it is called Gangnam Street and the setting has in every corner, details that make reference to the series. The beds or the red uniforms of the waiters seem to be taken directly from the scenes of the series.
Obviously, in a Squid Games bar you have to be able to play the games we all know from the series and which are already popular: in Gangnam Street you can play Ddakji, where players try to flip a folded piece of paper by throwing it against another or try Gonggi, which is played with five small pieces that you have to throw and catch in the air, one by one.
What to eat at Gangnam Street in Chinatown
The menu, of course, has Korean dishes: Hattogu, a Korean version of our classic pancho, several varieties of ramen, and Kimbap, a roll of rice and nori seaweed with cooked ingredients. To go with it, you can choose from three types of craft beers created especially to recreate The Squid Games in Buenos Aires, along with Soju options and Korean juices.
Buenos Aires has many amazing themed bars and it’s missing a Squid Games one, but it already has one!
