Disney is all about nostalgia and synonymous with magic and fantasy, and the best of its animated universe has just arrived in Buenos Aires. Starting this Friday, October 9, Buenos Aires comes alive with the characters from Disney’s most iconic animated films thanks to “Walt Disney Animation Studios: The Magic of Creation, ” a spectacular , free exhibition that will captivate both adults and children.
A journey through the most iconic worlds of Disney cinema without leaving Buenos Aires
The room known as “La Gran Lámpara,” on the seventh floor of Palacio Libertad, is the venue chosen for the exhibition, which invites you to explore the best of the creative process behind the Disney universe.
Through four themed rooms, the tour invites you to explore the creative legacy of the great legends known to so many generations. From the earliest hand-drawn classics to the latest blockbusters in digital animation, you’ll find yourself surrounded by never-before-seen archival materials, sculptures, and the unmistakable music from the films and stories that shaped so many childhoods.
An immersive Disney exhibition with an Argentine twist
As you walk through the galleries, you’ll see the artistry behind how classics like Pinocchio, Alice in Wonderland, and Peter Pan came to life, all the way to the natural settings of The Lion King, Zootopia, and The Three Caballeros.
Get your camera ready because you’ll be able to enjoy the magical worlds of Princess Cinderella, Rapunzel, Moana, and the queens of Arendelle, Anna and Elsa 👑❄️.
But since there’s no great story without a great antagonist, the villains also claim their place in the exhibition. You’ll be able to explore the art behind Gaston, Jafar, and Scar, reimagined in this exhibition with a touch from Argentine fashion designer Pablo Ramírez. And as the grand finale, the experience includes an exclusive corner dedicated to “Hechizo: Welcome to Hexe, ” the studio’s new film premiering in late November, where you’ll be able to see the first sketches of Billie, its protagonist
“Walt Disney Animation Studios: The Magic of Creation” features the work of Argentine artists such as Manuel Ameztoy, Melanie Anton, designer Pablo Ramírez, and the team at Estudio Cinco, who have brought their unique perspectives to life, weaving them together with the characters and stories that are part of the Disney universe.
