October kicks off with news for the Argentine rock scene: in the month of Charly García’s birthday—he turns 75 on October 23—Buenos Aires pays tribute to him with a series of candlelight concerts beginning this Saturday, October 3. As part of the renowned Candlelight series, the Centro Asturiano and the Automóvil Club Argentino will open their doors to reinterpret his greatest hits arranged for string quartet.
A different way to experience his songs—up close and with new nuances—that also connects with Charly’s roots, having been trained in classical piano from childhood.

This historic setting, combined with the soft glow of candlelight, creates the perfect atmosphere for rediscovering Charly’s songs arranged for violin, viola, and cello, with tickets available starting at $23,500.

With tickets starting at $30,000, the October 31 performance will be the last chance this month to hear García’s classics in an acoustic setting, in an atmosphere lit exclusively by candles.
