The aroma of firewood and the crackling fire will once again take over Buenos Aires because on August 15 and 16, the Palermo Racetrack will host a new edition of the Festival Carne!, the culinary event 100% dedicated to lovers of asado and grilled cuisine in all its forms.
If you’re looking for an outdoor plan to enjoy incredible food and spend the day with friends or family, mark your calendar— admission is free.
What You’ll Find at the Carne! Festival
The festival will feature more than 30 booths and food trucks ready to take you on a comprehensive tour of Buenos Aires’ meat-loving culture and its various cooking techniques. Sharpen your knives because you’ll find:
- Grilling styles for every taste: From the classic Argentine stake grill to kamados, open-fire grills, and Texas-style smokers.
- A variety of cuts: You’ll be able to sample beef, pork, lamb, crispy offal, and, of course, a huge variety of artisanal chorizos.
- Vegetarian and sweet options: Whether you don’t eat meat or are coming with a group, no one will be left out—you’ll also be able to enjoy empanadas, appetizers, and vegetarian dishes, along with beer gardens, wine bars, ice cream, and traditional desserts.
Plus, this barbecue festival is designed to be family-friendly, with a kids’ play area and games. [If you weren’t sure what to do in Buenos Aires this weekend, we’ve already got your two days planned out.]
