This is what the town of Abbott, in the province of Buenos Aires is planning to do during the weekend of February 14-16. It is already a tradition of the place and of the nearby towns and cities that know that this outdoor weekend is made for a good getaway.
For three days, you will taste craft beers, cheeses and sausages made in the region. In addition, there will be food trucks with varied gastronomic options, stands of entrepreneurs and artisans offering local products.
In this picada and beer festival there is not only food, there is also live music. On the main stage, there are tribute bands to national rock greats such as Divididos, Callejeros, Pappo and La Renga. You will also find local bands and DJs.
How to get to Abbott
Located in the district of Monte, Abbott is a small town in the province of Buenos Aires that preserves the charm of its railway past and its rural spirit. In fact, this festival is held all three days at the railroad’s premises. If you walk around it, which is highly recommended, you will find quiet streets and old mansions.
To get to Abbott from the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, there are several transportation options:
🚗 By car (1h 30m approx.).
- Take Riccheri Highway and then National Route 205 towards Cañuelas.
- Continue along Provincial Route 41 until you reach Abbott.
🚌 By bus + train

Bus to Cañuelas + train
- Take bus 88 from Plaza Once or Liniers to Cañuelas station.
- From there, take the train of the Cañuelas – Monte branch of the Roca Railroad and get off at Abbott station.

Bus to San Miguel del Monte + remis (taxi)
- Take a Pullman General Belgrano bus from Retiro or Liniers to San Miguel del Monte.
- From Monte, take a remis to Abbott (about 20 km).
