If you want to have an afternoon to forget about work and problems, you need a snack in a revolutionary palace in Buenos Aires, an incredible environment to enjoy the best coffee shop between oak and marble walls while a historian tells you the history that encloses its walls. This is what Sabores con Historia offers you this November 1st.
This Buenos Aires palace unveils its revolutionary past with a snack in its Belle Epoque rooms.
Sabores con Historia is an opportunity to enjoy a different afternoon, where you will be surrounded by elegance, history and the taste of a snack(teas and infusions, sweet and savory snacks, finger food, sandwiches, scones, handmade pastries and a glass of sparkling wine) in one of the most charming palaces of Buenos Aires, the Rodríguez Peña Palace.
In front of Plaza Rodríguez Peña, once stood the house where Nicolás Rodríguez Peña was born. It was precisely in that house that many of the heroes who promoted the May Revolution used to meet. The oak floors , the hand-carved woodwork and the plaster ornaments that today have been transformed into the Rodriguez Peña rooms of the Palladio Hotel still remain from that time. Rodriguez Peña’s house was transformed into the Palladio Hotel, like many mansions and palaces in Recoleta, only that the hotel preserves those details, adding a glazed ceiling and a modern ambience that preserves the elegance of the palaces of Buenos Aires.

Did you know that the land included the estate that later became the square that since 1893 bears his name and was designed by Carlos Thays?
It is precisely in this palace of Buenos Aires with all the past of the revolutionary house it once was, where you can enjoy Sabores con Historia, a cycle where you can enjoy a snack in the hotel rooms while a historian immerses you in the history hidden in the walls of this magnificent mansion: share anecdotes, curiosities and secrets of the Buenos Aires of 1810 and the revolutionary gesture of May.
Sabores con Historia is an invitation to live a special afternoon, surrounded by beauty, history and flavor, in one of the most charming palaces of Buenos Aires. It includes tea, infusions, sweet and savory snacks, finger food, sadwiches, scones, artisan pastries and a glass of sparkling wine.
November’s date is the first of the month, but this event is repeated throughout the year. Check with the hotel for future dates.
