If you thought that the coolest neighborhoods in the world, those that make it to the world rankings are only in Europe, you are wrong. A new ranking of the coolest neighborhoods in the world has focused on a neighborhood in Buenos Aires, and it is not Palermo!
This is the Buenos Aires neighborhood chosen as the coolest neighborhood in the world and it’s not Palermo!
Time Out magazine published its annual ranking of the 39 coolest neighborhoods in the world in 2025, and a neighborhood in Buenos Aires, which is not Palermo, managed to sneak into the list: Villa Devoto.
Villa Devoto is one of the coolest neighborhoods in the world and ranks 37th. Known as the “Garden of Buenos Aires”, this neighborhood combines tree-lined streets, elegant houses and a quiet atmosphere that makes it irresistibly charming.

In addition, in the center of Villa Devoto is the Arenales Square. Surrounded by local restaurants, it is usually the chosen place for fairs and meetings. Nearby, another attraction of this neighborhood is the Paseo de las Artes Latinoamericanas, which pays tribute to artists such as Diego Rivera and Pablo Neruda with 17 flower beds bearing their names.
Another interesting fact is that Diego Maradona lived in this one of the coolest neighborhoods in the world, on the famous corner of Segurola and Habana.
How to spend a perfect day in the coolest neighborhood in Buenos Aires
According to the publication, the best way to discover the neighborhood is like this:
