Every Saturday at 4:30 p.m., the Estación Verde bar transforms the platforms at Coghlan Station into an open-air jazz club. It’s a series with free admission and voluntary donations that combines afternoons, specialty coffee, artisanal pastries, and an unmissable lineup of live musicians.

Jazz Concerts on the Train Tracks: The Story Behind Coghlan Station
Coghlan Station is the heart of one of Buenos Aires’ smallest and most picturesque neighborhoods. The train station was inaugurated on February 1, 1891. The station is named after the Irish engineer John Coghlan.
Today, the station is considered one of the most beautiful in Buenos Aires and retains its Victorian-style British architecture intact, along with its original station name signs and even its antique streetlamps.
Going to listen to jazz at the station isn’t the only thing you can do, because around Estomba and Rivera streets, Coghlan offers a landscape of cobblestone streets, low-rise English-style houses, and plenty of greenery. Take the opportunity to explore Belgrano as well.
