Palacio Paz, one of the most beautiful Belle Epoque style palaces in Buenos Aires opens its doors to the public in a one-time free guided tour. The tour will take place on Thursday, June 19 from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm, at its headquarters at 750 Santa Fe Avenue, in front of Plaza San Martín.
With free admission but with prior reservation required, the free guided tour of this Buenos Aires palace is a unique opportunity to get to know one of the most impressive buildings of Buenos Aires architecture, usually closed to free visits.
Currently, the Palacio Paz is the headquarters of the Círculo Militar, and although you can visit it through paid events organized by them, this is one of the few occasions when you will be able to visit it for free. Declared a National Historic Monument, the Palacio Paz is still one of the most impressive examples of early 20th century architecture in CABA.

Built between 1902 and 1914 by commission of the founder of the newspaper La Prensa, José C. Paz, this Belle Epoque palace in Buenos Aires was conceived as the most impressive private residence of its time. The design was in charge of the French architect Louis-Marie Henri Sortais, who gave shape to a building of more than 12,000 square meters and 140 rooms.
During the guided tour of the Palacio Paz, you will visit the most emblematic rooms of the palace, in its architecture you will see the splendor of the Belle Époque in Buenos Aires, with influences of French neo-baroque, classical academicism and touches of art nouveau.
