This March 29th Buenos Aires becomes the first city in South America to host a hot air balloon festival. That will be BA Flota, this March 29 at the City Park. That day enjoy magic, aerial shows, live music and interactive activities for all ages.
What can you see in BA Flota, the first hot air balloon festival in Buenos Aires?
BA Flota is more than a festival where you can see and get close to hot air balloons as you have never seen them before in Buenos Aires. The main attraction are the hot air balloons full of color and designs to fly, in addition to the balloons, your imagination. As this festival is designed to be enjoyed by all ages, you will also find an inflatable park, traveling shows with circus artists and live music and performances.
But BA Flota will be more than that, because there will also be an exhibition and a classic car show and a display of model aircrafts on display if you are passionate about airplanes.
With this hot air balloon festival you will want to spend the whole day at the City Park, that’s why you will be able to eat at BA Flota because there will be food trucks and a beer garden with gastronomic options for all tastes.
When does the balloon inflation and light show start?
Remember that for safety reasons, it is not possible to go up and ride on the balloons. If it is not raining and the weather conditions that day allow it, the hot air balloon inflation starts at 6 pm. Flying in the balloons is not allowed for safety reasons but you will be able to enjoy captive flights (anchored to the ground), and have a privileged view.
The highlight will come at 7:30 pm with the Night Glow, a show of lights and music in which the illuminated balloons move to the rhythm of an audiovisual show.
Tickets are on sale at the Ticketek website from 15,000 pesos.
