January is coming and the subway will be closed for vacations. Pueyrredón subway station on Line B and Lima subway station on Line A will be temporarily closed as from Tuesday, January 7. This closure will last for approximately three months. The objective is to improve the infrastructure. We tell you how to replace these stations and continue traveling without problems.
Subway closed for vacations
In addition to Pueyrredón and Lima subway stations, Palermo and Scalabrini Ortiz stations of Line D are also closed for renovation works.
The works include a comprehensive renovation that includes waterproofing, painting, repair of floors, installation of new LED lights, and renewal of signage. In the case of Lima station, historical pieces will also be replaced to preserve the station’s heritage.
How to combine with other free stations
Since both stations are combination points, a special ticket system has been set up for passengers. At Pueyrredón, which connects with Line H, you can request a combination ticket at the Carlos Gardel and Pasteur-AMIA stations on Line B, as well as at Corrientes on Line H.
In the case of Lima, tickets can be requested at the Sáenz Peña and Piedras stations on Line A, or at Avenida de Mayo on Line C.
In this way, you can continue to combine and use the subway without having to pay for the refurbishments and how they affect you. Remember that you can pay with several means of payment as well.
