This 2025, during the Night of the Museums all participating spaces, from national and local museums to historic buildings and cultural spaces, will open their doors at unusual hours, so you can enjoy their exhibitions and activities for free.
Throughout the night, museums and emblematic buildings of Buenos Aires are transformed into cultural scenarios with exhibitions, workshops, musical shows, live DJs, projections and immersive experiences. There are activities to share with family, friends, or simply to get lost and discover corners of the city that usually go unnoticed.

This 2025, more than 300 museums and institutions participate in this special night, offering a unique experience for all ages. From 7 pm to 2 am you will be able to walk around Buenos Aires going from museum to museum. The Night of the Museums 2025 is an occasion that brings together the whole family, with activities specially designed for children (games, workshops and puppet shows in different participating museums).

The complete program will be available from November 1, and the official opening is at 7 pm at the Centro Cultural Recoleta, with the inauguration of La Torre de Pisa de tallarines, the new work by Marta Minujín, which you will be able to visit and even participate actively.
This year, the Night of the Museums adds a new historical venue near Plaza de Mayo: the Casa de la Cultura, in the old building of the newspaper La Prensa, restored and converted into a cultural space. In addition, more than 50 museums and cultural centers are integrated into the network of activities, expanding the offer and offering unique experiences that combine history, art and technology.
Move for free during the Night of the Museums 2025
If this edition is the same as last year, during the night of the museums you will be able to use public transportation for free.
EcoBici: you will find the 2300 free EcoBici bicycles distributed in its stations. You will be able to make up to 6 free trips of up to 1 hour each, to get from one to another of your chosen places.
Subway and Premetro: you have free subway and premetro from 18hs until 02 hs (showing the Museum Night 2025 Free Pass).
Buses: Bus lines with the Night of the Museums 2025 sign on the front let you travel for free from 6 pm to 3 am, also showing the Free Pass.
Subway A takes out The Witches on the Night of the Museums

Every Night of the Museums, the Buenos Aires subway usually takes out its old cars, “Las Brujas” (The Witches) for a walk. This November 8th you will be able to enjoy a historical tour and ride in the La Brugeoise cars (known as Las Brujas), which used to run on Line A in Buenos Aires.
