“Music and Drinks” series in the courtyard of the former La Prensa building every Thursday in June with free admission
Every Thursday in June, the courtyard of the Casa de la Cultura is transformed to host a series that combines food, a glass of wine, and music from DJs who bring their best vinyl records for an autumn afternoon where you can enjoy yourself, chat, meet new people, and dance. This new series of events is called Vinos & Vinilos and takes place every Thursday in June at 7:00 p.m. with free admission.
If you’re not familiar with the Casa de la Cultura, it’s one of the most majestic buildings in Buenos Aires, and enjoying this series in one of its spaces is an experience you shouldn’t miss.
An evening of music and drinks in the courtyard of the former La Prensa building
The Casa de la Cultura was originally built as the headquarters of the newspaper La Prensa in 1898. It is a building featuring eclectic architecture in the French style, designed by architects Agote and Gainza. Its façade is monumental and certainly stands out on Avenida de Mayo, especially due to its ornate balconies and the gilded sculpture of the goddess Pallas Athena that crowns the dome.

The interior of the Casa de la Cultura is characterized by its marble, stained-glass windows, and a stately staircase that invites you to explore its halls. It is in the courtyard of this fantastic building where you’ll be able to experience a unique musical journey every Thursday.
Also, remember that admission is free.
A musical journey in a 19th-century palace
For the event on June 18, the atmosphere will be shaped by the curation of Lorenzo Piriz Pereira from Montevideo, who brings the most authentic sounds of the Uruguayan capital, and Olivia de Barrio from Buenos Aires, an expert at weaving connections between jazz and candombe.
The wine pairings are curated by Paula Lico, a professional sommelier , president of the Sommelier Association of the Province of Buenos Aires, and a leading figure in the world of wine tasting. The guest winery is Valle del Indio, featuring specifically selected wines, and the signature appetizer platter toaccompany each glass will be prepared by Bar Periódico.
Come experience a unique evening where stories, drinks, and vinyl music come together in a historic courtyard in Buenos Aires. Remember to arrive early to secure a spot!
