The first experience that shows you an immersive Prado Museum in Buenos Aires that combines art, history and cutting-edge technology to immerse you in five masterpieces of European painting… as if you were inside them.
The Prado Museum’s immersive experience arrives in Buenos Aires: Immerse yourself in Las Meninas with virtual reality in La Rural
This immersive experience of the Prado Museum in Buenos Aires uses multi-user virtual reality (also known as metaverse) to reinterpret iconic works with artistic fidelity and historical rigor endorsed by the Prado Museum’ s own conservation team.
In this interactive exhibition at the Prado Museum in Buenos Aires you will tour five works using virtual reality or VR glasses to become part of the work, walk through it and admire it up close as if you were one more element or character added by the painter.
The tour begins with a physical gallery that introduces you to the history of the immersive Prado Museum and the paintings selected for the immersive experience. Afterwards, a virtual security guard, on his last day of work, will take you through secret corners of the museum, so that you can walk through the restoration workshop or the guards’ room as if you were just another person, and from there, the door opens to a three-dimensional universe where the works come to life and you are inside them!
