June brings us a long weekend in Buenos Aires. Looking for opportunities either in the city or getaways near Buenos Aires can be a great way to spend the weekend in or near Buenos Aires. There are many plans and tours with children ideal for everyone to enjoy and also to make those three wonderful days even more profitable.
1. Long weekend in June: A day on an island

What if you are going to spend the day on Martín García Island? You have to go to Tigre(maybe take a walk around its fruit port). The navigation through the Delta takes about two hours to reach the island.
Once in Martín García you can visit the historical museum, the old Urquiza Theater, its own Chinatown or the prison of Perón and Frondizi. And in case you didn’t know, the writer Ruben Dario lived on Martin Garcia Island, so you can also visit his house. From Tigre there are two boat companies that will take you there: Sturla Viajes and Dan Travel.
2. Camping with a special touch in Lobos

Refugio Natural is perhaps one of the best glamping near Buenos Aires to spend any long weekend even if it’s not June. It offers you luxury tents with all the comforts of a hotel, as well as activities such as traditional camping, water sports, horseback riding or hiking and all 100 km from Buenos Aires.
Refugio Natural Glamping 📍Avenida nº 5 at the end of the road, Laguna de Lobos, Lobos. Buenos Aires.
3. The fix: Strolling around Tigre

Surely it will be crowded on any of the days of this June holiday, but the truth is that the Puerto de Frutos in Tigre is so close that it is a pity not to take the opportunity to go for a walk, get on a catamaran, have lunch or dinner by the river and just enjoy being out of Buenos Aires.
Puerto de Frutos 📍Sarmiento 160. Tigre.
Open every day from 10am to 8pm.
4. Stroll through Buenos Aires among pink leaves

Obviously one of the first options for a long weekend is to go out and enjoy all the spring pink of Buenos Aires. Go through the Rosedal, visit the Japanese Garden (remember that you can save time by getting your ticket online at the Japanese Garden website), take a walk around the Planetarium or just have some mates by the lakes of the Palermo Woods.
5. What if you go ice skating?

In Caballito and Villa Devoto there are ice rinks for skating. They will give you the skates and you will be able to enjoy practicing or learning with their combos for hours and free time. In addition, you have the possibility to have a snack and spend a great afternoon or day.

In addition, Bounce Park is the only trampoline park for children prepared to receive people in wheelchairs. Buenos Aires has 6 trampoline parks where you can have fun and if you are thinking about it, adults are also allowed to jump.
8. Discover a rural town
Only an hour away from Buenos Aires is Carlos Keen, a town you should not miss. In addition to the Benedictine Basilica, this destination has earned a reputation for its grills and high quality restaurants. Its history as a former railroad town is reflected in the charm of its old station, adding to its atmosphere. Today, Carlos Keen is the perfect place for a day or weekend getaway, where you can immerse yourself in the serenity of the countryside and enjoy its exquisite gastronomy, highlighting local products.
9. Take them to visit a museum with a beach

The Malba, the brand new museum of Latin American art in Buenos Aires has a second venue less than an hour away from Buenos Aires. It is called Malba Puertos and besides being surrounded by nature because it is in a forest, it has access to a beach where you can rest after seeing its exhibitions. Admission is free.
