After many years of waiting, finally begins the project that adds to CABA an attraction for both porteños and tourists. La Rueda de Buenos Aires will be a giant panoramic Ferris wheel, which will begin to be built in Dock 1 of Puerto Madero. With a height of 79 meters and a 360° view of Buenos Aires. We tell you when the Buenos Aires Wheel will be operating and how much it will cost to get on it.
The Buenos Aires Wheel: how the new unique experience on the river will look like and when it will be ready.

If you are familiar with the London Eye in the UK, the Great Wheel of Seattle in the US or the Singapore Flyer in Singapore, the Buenos Aires Wheel will be exactly like those attractions. The Buenos Aires Wheel that will be installed in Puerto Madero will be designed to offer an immersive experience with 360° views of the Buenos Aires skyline.
In addition, it will have 36 enclosed, air-conditioned cabins with a capacity for eight people each, which will allow transporting up to 288 visitors per trip.
When you get on the Buenos Aires Wheel, you will be able to appreciate the banks of the Río de la Plata, the tallest buildings of Puerto Madero, you will also have an absolute view of the Ecological Reserve and, on clear days, you will even be able to see parts of the suburbs and the south of the City.
The project will be mounted on a base of more than 1,100 square meters of reinforced concrete anchored directly on the water mirror of the dam. In addition, the entire structure will be illuminated by a state-of-the-art LED lighting system, so that getting on the Buenos Aires Wheel will be an incredible nighttime spectacle with low energy consumption.
When does the Buenos Aires Wheel start operating?

The estimated timeframe for the completion of the construction of the Buenos Aires Wheel is 15 months, so, if the planned schedule is met, the Buenos Aires Wheel could open to the public by the end of 2026.
The installation of a panoramic wheel in a capital city is not a minor event, in fact if you pass by Dock 1 of Puerto Madero you will already see that they are preparing the area to start with the foundations. If the forecast is correct and the times are not delayed, the Buenos Aires wheel will be a fact before 2027 and will add to the city a vision like the London Eye in London. Something similar is happening in Seattle and Singapore. In fact, since it will be an attraction like these, we can estimate a price for our wheel.
