Independent theater in Buenos Aires has a very special event in 2026, as the first edition of Festival Animal will be held throughout March, bringing together nine plays and a program of workshops and activities in the heart of Almagro.
Independent Theater Festival in Buenos Aires: Nine plays ranging from drama to comedy come to Almagro to democratize theater
From March 6 to 29, Almagro is the epicenter of an independent theater festival in Buenos Aires where theater is celebrated as a meeting place and space for shared creation. Festival Animal includes a program of nine plays that range from humor to sensitivity and build their own worlds.
In addition to theater premieres, you can join training workshops and make sure you don’t miss any of the plays, because the festival offers ticket promotions so you can see more plays for less money.
