Can you imagine hearing a Divididos classic, a Michael Jackson song, or a Gorillaz hit performed live by a 16-piece jazz orchestra? Don’t just imagine it—because that’s exactly what’s going to be happening at the Usina del Arte, with free admission, on June 26.
Gorillaz, Charly García, and Divididos: The Free Jazz-Inspired Concert Featuring Jorge Araujo of Divididos as a Special Guest on June 26
An unmissable series returns for music lovers and those seeking unique cultural experiences in Buenos Aires, brought to you by La Pardo Big Band and the series “Songs You Know But Have Never Heard Before.” This Friday, you’ll hear songs by some of rock’s most iconic bands reimagined in a jazz, funk, and soul style.
The event takes place this Friday, June 26, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. at the Usina del Arte Auditorium in the La Boca neighborhood. Best of all? Admission is free. We’ll tell you the setlist so you can start making a note of it.
The Repertoire: From Argentine rock to international pop
With original arrangements blending funk, rock, neo-soul, and contemporary jazz, you’ll hear tribute songs to Argentine rock by Charly García and Divididos, and you’ll also be immersed in a musical journey throughinternational classics by Michael Jackson, Gorillaz, and the reggae of Bob Marley. And, of course, the program wouldn’t be complete without gems by Carlos Gardel and the folk music of Cuchi Leguizamón.
The special guest: Jorge Araujo of Divididos
To top off the night, the show will feature a special guest: Jorge Araujo, the former drummer for Divididos and a member of Gran Martell. Together, they’ll perform songs from his current solo project, as well as revisit several of Divididos’ greatest anthems that left their mark on Argentine rock.
If you’ve never been to La Usina del Arte, just stepping inside this building is a great experience in itself. Not only is it a Florentine-style building constructed in 1916 to house the former power plant of the Compañía Ítalo Argentina de Electricidad (hence its name), but it also features a main auditorium designed with perfect acoustics by the same team of engineers who restored the Teatro Colón. At this unbeatable venue, you’ll be able to enjoy this very special concert with free admission.
Guide to getting your free tickets and how to get there
This concert is going to draw a large crowd, and while admission is free, the auditorium has limited seating, so we recommend arriving well in advance and getting your tickets online ahead of time.
