Franco Colapinto is bringing his Alpine F1 car to Buenos Aires for a street exhibition in Palermo, and you can watch it for free. We’ll tell you the route Colapinto will take through Buenos Aires and how you can watch it for free.
What car will Colapinto use in Buenos Aires and what is the street circuit
Franco Colapinto is bringing his Formula 1 car to Buenos Aires—the car he drives for Alpine in F1 races around the world—and on April 26, you’ll be able to watch it race through the streets of Buenos Aires, get up close, and do all of this for free,
The street circuit stretches from Av. del Libertador, near the Monument to the Spaniards, to Av. Sarmiento at the intersection with Figueroa Alcorta. It’s a 2-kilometer urban track where you’ll be able to watch two official shows.
The car Colapinto will be driving is the 2012 Lotus E20, powered by a Renault V8 engine, featuring the full livery of the BWT Alpine Formula One Team.

Did you know that the last time a Formula 1 car drove through Buenos Aires was in 2012, when Daniel Ricciardo drove a Red Bull RB7 through the same area and drew a crowd of around 50,000 people?
How to get there: from free to VIP with a garage tour
Colapinto’s exhibition and his F1 car on the streets of Buenos Aires offer several options. You’ll find free access along the route, as well as paid sections: a Fan Zone with entertainment and brand activations, and stands with prime views of the circuit and access to the pits.
Pre-sales begin on April 6 at 4 p.m. and are exclusive to Mercado Pago cards with 3 interest-free installments. General sales open on April 7 at 4 p.m. with all payment methods accepted. Tickets are available on the Enigmatickets website, and you’ll also be able to watch it on ESPN and Disney+.
With this exhibition, Colapinto becomes the first Argentine to drive a Formula 1 car on the streets of Buenos Aires. And as if that weren’t important enough, this could also be a step forward in negotiations to bring back the Argentine Grand Prix: the Oscar y Juan Gálvez Autodrome is currently undergoing a complete renovation and aims to host MotoGP in 2027 and Formula 1 starting in 2028.
