The International Literature Festival (FILBA) returns in 2025 with an agenda full of more than 40 activities designed for readers and writers alike. From interviews and dialogues to workshops, readings and literary tours, samples and exhibitions in bookstores and museums. This Filba 2025 comes with everything. Filba 2025: A literary celebration invades Buenos Aires with activities dedicated to literature.
This 2025, the festival will be held in several venues. Some of the places that will host activities are: Malba, Espacio Arthaus, Casa de la Cultura and Paco Urondo, among others.
FILBA also has a prestigious list of authors, both national and international. You will be able to enjoy talks and workshops on literature, playwriting, film writing or attend talks with great writers such as Gabriela Cabezón Cámara.
What can you do at the International Literature Festival?
All the activities of the festival are free and you can choose from the following:
- Interviews and literary dialogues.
- Workshops to learn from outstanding authors.
- Poetry recitals, performances and live music.
- The Open Library, an exchange space where readers can leave their books and take others home.
- A Book Tasting, where you can discover your next great read.
- Film screenings thanks to the collaboration with the MUBI platform, which brings a special selection of films.
Unique encounters with your favorite authors
One of the biggest attractions of FILBA is the possibility of meeting face to face with authors in informal spaces. Whether in the aisles, cafes or chats, this festival offers an unusual closeness between creators and their readers. In addition, different bookstores in Buenos Aires , some of which you may not know, will have the presence of authors who will read excerpts from their books.

Every day from September 25 to 28 you can choose which activity to participate in. All Filba 2025 activities are free but some require prior registration.
There are workshops, book tastings, meetings with authors, workshops, even poetry and dance performances in unusual spaces such as the terrace of La Paz upstairs, where you can join the great closing night of FILBA 2025, a night between coffees, wine glasses, open microphones, recitals and readings.
