If you are planning to travel by plane in the next few days, it is important that you check the status of your flight because the union representing the country’s air traffic controllers announced a series of union measures that will affect the operation of airports. In Creole, from May 24 cancellations and delays in domestic and international flights are expected. These are the confirmed days and schedules of stoppage at airports.
When do the protests affecting flights in Argentina begin?
Starting on Saturday, May 24, and for several non-consecutive days, air traffic controllers will carry out partial interruptions of essential services as part of a demand for better salaries and working conditions. These actions, although limited in duration, are very likely to cause delays, rescheduling and cancellations of both domestic and international flights.
During the affected schedules, no takeoffs will be authorized and no flight plans will be processed, which will especially impact aircraft on the ground. In other words, if you are about to board a flight during the times listed below, you may experience extended waits or last-minute rescheduling.
