Just a few minutes from Buenos Aires, this weekend marks the festival that transforms a town in Buenos Aires into the flower capital. If you’ve never been to the National Flower Festival in Escobar, this is your perfect weekend getaway. From October 3 to 12, 2026, the Belén de Escobar Floral Park transforms into a true oasis of scents and colors, complete with live music.
A city is decked out in flowers for its annual festival: what is the flower of 2026?
From October 3 to 12, 2026, Belén de Escobar will host a new edition of the national festival that fills every corner of the town with flowers. It’s a festival that brings together hundreds of people every year and, above all, is a postcard-perfect scene bursting with color.
For the 2026 edition, the undisputed star of the flower festival is the Alstroemeria (also known as the Inca lily). This flower was chosen as the representative flower of the year for its elegance and variety of colors. Did you know that the Alstroemeria is a symbol of friendship?
During the ten-day fair, you’ll be able to explore themed pavilions featuring thousands of flower species, ornamental plants, orchids, succulents, and landscape arrangements. You can also get advice from expert growers or buy plants and flowers directly from the growers themselves.
If your heart is passionate about gardening, join the workshops, talks, and training sessions on plant care, urban gardening, and garden design.
Must-see lineup: the concerts for the 2026 edition
At this flower festival, it’s not all about gardening and flowers. Music is one of the festival’s main attractions, with stages hosting concerts by major artists such as Fito Páez, David Lebón, and Pedro Aznar. Explore a world of flowers while taking a musical journey through the great classics of Serú Girán and their solo careers.
Los Manseros Santiagueños will also perform , bringing folkloric tradition to the national festival, along with Turf and their pop-rock sound. And if cumbia is more your style, don’t miss the Tropical Night featuring performances by Jambao, Nico Mattioli, Dany Lescano, and Super Merk-2.
Floats Parade and the Selection of Ambassadors
There are two iconic moments that highlight the schedule of this festival dedicated to flowers:
👉Floral Float Parade: On Saturday, October 10, at 7:00 p.m., Escobar’s main avenue comes alive with a parade of vehicles decorated with thousands of fresh flowers.
👉Selection of Flower Ambassadors: On Sunday, October 11, at 4:00 p.m., the representatives for the 63rd edition will be chosen, with a focus on promoting environmental stewardship and local identity.
A culinary tour and activities for the whole family
The Predio Floral features an open-air food court with food trucks, regional food stands, vegetarian and gluten-free options, craft beer, and artisanal pastries to enjoy in the afternoon.
And if you’re going with kids, you’ll find playgrounds and traveling shows throughout the day.
