A world ranking celebrates the empanada on its day
The gastronomy site Taste Atlas has just published its list of the best street food and the Argentine empanada could not be missing. Our “al paso” food, our most local food and the one that saves your life when you are hungry anywhere, has reached the 35th place among the most delicious street foods in the world.
Whether baked or fried, with knife-cut meat, ham and cheese, humita or vegetables, empanadas always stand out for their versatility, for their deliciousness and for how easy it is to eat a quality empanada anywhere. The Taste Atlas ranking is built from the reviews and ratings of experts from around the world. So this recognition only confirms what we already knew, that this delicacy is so good that it is understandable that the empanada day exists and is celebrated every April 8.
