If you’ve ever dreamed of traveling back in time and immersing yourself in the elegance of 1912, your time has come with this Titanic Epoch Ball, designed for you to dance and feel like in that era (but without sinking the Titanic). Come and relive the atmosphere of the most famous ocean liner in the world, the magic of Irish dance and a unique historical setting. The date is in April.
Leo or Kate: Dress up and dance until the Titanic sinks.
This April 5 there is dancing on the Titanic and they are looking for you. The chosen venue is the Alejandro Casona Room, an old style room perfect for a vintage dance and just a few blocks from the Congress.
This April 5 you have an appointment with the world of period dances where you will learn ballroom dances, similar to those enjoyed by the classes seated on the deck of the Titanic. All very formal and polite and then move on to the real party, where you will learn and dance authentic Irish dances, in honor of St. Patrick’s Day.
In this dance on the deck of the Titanic you will learn traditional dance steps, guided by dancers and actors who will recreate historical scenes to make you feel like in the Belle Époque, along with Leo and Kate.
You are in a Titanic-style ball, so dress code is mandatory. You can choose between gala clothes, Titanic first class style, or simpler clothes like those worn by second and third class passengers. Modern clothes will not be allowed, obviously, because the idea is to make everyone feel as if they were in the great movie and in the same era.
To fit in perfectly in this Titanic ball and belong to the right era, you have to give your clothes the Edwardian Belle Époque style (go by images from the early 1900s). If you are worried that this is the first time you are going to a period dance, don’t worry because you don’t need to know how to dance. There are teachers who will teach everyone equally.
Titanic marked an era in the movies and in many people as well and you can feel like you were in that moment of history and of the movie in this dance here in Buenos Aires. If you love the idea of living a dance from another era, we leave you other opportunities in Buenos Aires.
