If you’ve always wanted to experience a festival like Cosquín without having to travel so far, your dream will come true in November 2026 because Buenos Aires is set to host its first major folklore festival. República Folklore will be like Cosquín in Buenos Aires, featuring more than 50 artists, three stages running simultaneously, and a weekend showcasing Argentina’s best folklore artists and groups at Parque de la Ciudad.
November in Buenos Aires will be a month marked by music with the arrival of the first edition of República Folklore. The tradition of major festivals from the countryside, such as Cosquín or Jesús María, is coming straight to BuenosAires.
The lineup features more than 50 artists spread across three stages, where legends of popular music will share the stage with rising stars from the current scene.
Among the headliners you’ll find at República Folklore are: Abel Pintos, Soledad Pastorutti, El Chaqueño Palavecino, Los Nocheros, Jorge Rojas, Peteco Carabajal, Teresa Parodi, Cazzu, Nahuel Pennisi, Ahyre, Los Tekis, and Maggie Cullen.
Much more than music: a large-scale peña experience
With this major folklore festival in Buenos Aires, Parque de la Ciudad is transformed. Obviously, it’s not all about the music (which is already plenty), but you’ll also find folk music gatherings, food, and dance floors to dance your heart out. The festival will include:
- Regional cuisine: A food court featuring traditional pulperías where you can sample empanadas from different provinces, costillares, locro, and authentic regional dishes.
- Dance floors and intimate venues: Spaces offering open classes in zamba, chacarera, and gato
- Cultural stroll: The “Paseo de las Provincias,” an area dedicated to handicrafts, featuring local entrepreneurs and traditional Argentine games
