In Buenos Aires it is unusual for a theater to program a concert for babies. Much less one of live classical music. However, that is exactly what is going to happen at the Margarita Xirgu Theater, which premieres an experience designed for babies from 0 to 9 months, with an adapted format and a repertoire performed by a string quartet.
A unique concert of classical music adapted for babies premieres in Buenos Aires with only one date available.
The date is Saturday, January 24 and it is a single date. Under the name Candlelight Babies, the proposal unfolds for 45 minutes as a candlelight experience. The space is set up for babies, with a padded floor and cushions that allow them to move around, play with their own toys -as long as they are not loud- and be comfortable with their parents.

The musical selection includes pieces of timeless classical music that cross different periods and styles, with fragments of Vivaldi, Bach and Mozart, along with composers such as Debussy, Brahms or Saint-Saëns. These are compositions recognizable by all, such as some movements of The Four Seasons or the famous Clair de Lune.
Here, the pieces are performed live by a local string quartet, with a volume designed for children.
The plan takes place at the Margarita Xirgu Theater, an unusual setting for this type of proposal. Usually associated with theatrical and cultural programming for adults, the Xirgu now opens its doors to an audience that rarely occupies its seats. Tickets are now available online.
📅 Saturday, January 24, performances at 10 am and 11:30 am.
