Starting June 19, the world’s largest and most ambitious virtual reality experience lands at the Frers Pavilion at La Rural to offer you an immersive journey 400,000 kilometers from Earth and let you feel like an astronaut. The experience, which has already toured New York, Seattle, Shanghai, and Singapore, is coming to Buenos Aires and is your window to space.
From Buenos Aires to Space: An Immersive Journey to the International Space Station
Space Explorers is a virtual reality experience coming to La Rural in Buenos Aires starting June 19. It is an immersive production filmed entirely in space over the course of more than two years using cameras specially designed to operate in microgravity conditions. That’s why being part of this space experience feels just like being an astronaut on the International Space Station.
When you put on the VR headsets, you’ll be in space and find yourself immersed in:
- A full-scale replica of the ISS: You’ll walk through the very same modules where scientists from NASA, ESA, and other space agencies live and work.
- 360° spacewalks: You’ll feel the vertigo of being suspended in a vacuum, gazing at the curvature of the Earth through the station’s hatches.
- The “Overview Effect”: You’ll experience what astronauts have described so many times—the feeling of being far away and separated from Earth, and the new perspective they gain when they see our planet from a distance.
