On August 8, Mercat Villa Crespo will host an unmissable Spider-Man-themed event, where fans can celebrate Spider-Man Day together—a day designed not only for comic book and movie fans but also for families and friends. But in addition to being surrounded by Spider-Men and dressing up as one yourself, you’ll be able to enjoy many free activities, including music and food.

Although the comic book in which Peter Parker debuted as Spider-Man is dated August 1962 on the cover, August has become the official month worldwide to celebrate the character. At Mercat Villa Crespo, you’ll be able to explore the stalls of this Asian food market to enjoy whatever you like throughout the day—from ramen and signature empanadas to New York-style pizza, specialty pastries, craft beer, and cocktails.
Activities kick off at noon and continue throughout the afternoon:
- 2:00 p.m.: You’ll arrive and meet the cosplayers for the first photo session.
- 3:00 p.m. Interactive games on stage.
- 4:30 p.m. Spider-Verse Trivia: A quiz competition on Spider-Man movies, comics, animated series, and video games, with prizes for the most knowledgeable participants.
- 5:15 p.m. Live Reenactment: Actors and impersonators will perform the most iconic scenes from the films in the series live.
- 6:30 p.m. Themed karaoke: An open space for you to sing classic songs from animated opening sequences and movie soundtracks.
