From April 24 to May 12, the grounds of La Rural will host the most important book and literature fair in Latin America. The Buenos Aires Book Fair celebrates its 49th edition in 2025 with 1,500 exhibitors and 12 halls for cultural programming.
Riyadh is present at the Buenos Aires Book Fair
This 2025, Riyadh is the guest city of the Buenos Aires Book Fair 2025. The opening ceremony of the fair is on April 24 at 6 pm and will be in charge of the writer Juan Sasturain.
The first three days are dedicated to publishing and teaching activities, but on April 28 the fair will be open to the public.
What not to miss?
Among the activities for professionals, don’t miss the International Conference on Education, the International Meeting on Oral Narration, the Congress on the Promotion of Reading and Books and the International Forum on Science and Technology Teaching.
In addition, for the general public there will be unmissable cultural activities such as the international meeting of influencers, the reading marathon or the international poetry fairfrom May 2 to 4 at the Adolfo Bioy Casares hall. There will also be book signing days and a space dedicated to children and reading.
When can you visit the Buenos Aires Fair?
Monday to Friday from 2pm to 10pm.
Saturdays, Sundays and holidays: 1pm to 10pm.
Who can enter the Buenos Aires Book Fair for free?
- Children up to 12 years old inclusive, school visits and people with disabilities.
- Teachers with proof that they are teachers.
- Monday to Friday: students, retirees and pensioners.
How can you access the Fair?
La Rural has three different accesses:

If you need wheelchair access, you have to enter through the Santa Fe Avenue entrance.
If you take the subway, the D line will drop you off (get off at Plaza Italia station).
If you take the train, the San MartĂn train will drop you off (get off at Palermo station).
If you go by bus, you have many options: lines 10, 12, 15, 21, 29, 34, 34, 36, 36, 37, 39, 39, 41, 41, 55, 55, 57, 59, 59, 60, 67, 68, 93, 95, 111, 118, 160, 161, 188 and 197.
